Do you take walk-ins?
NO! OUR SALON IS GRATUITY FREE. THAT MEANS OUR STYLISTS HAVE SET THEIR HOURLY RATES AT A PRICE WHERE THEIR TAKE HOME NEEDS WILL BE MET. NO NEED TO SUPPLEMENT WITH A TIP - CONSIDER SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA OR LEAVING A REVIEW INSTEAD!

WE DO. IT'S NOTHING PERSONAL, IT'S JUST BUSINESS. WE HAVE POLICIES IN PLACE OUT OF RESPECT FOR YOU + TO PROTECT OUR TEAM.

THE SALON DOESN'T HAVE SET OPEN AND CLOSED HOURS, AS OUR STYLISTS ALL SET THEIR OWN SCHEDULE AND CAN OPEN AND CLOSE THE SALON AS THEY PLEASE. YOUR STYLIST WILL INFORM YOU OF THEIR UNIQUE HOURS.

Goldenrod Parlor is a salon in gainesville florida and is a collective of stylists who share a love for the craft of hair and the desire to better the hair industry. We are a salon that values creativity, community, individuality, sustainability, and most importantly, GOOD ASS HAIR.
Our salon is unique in that all of our stylists specialize in services that they love doing. When a client visits our salon, they will see someone who enjoys and specializes in the service they are seeking. Our stylists also charge hourly for their services, rather than a la carte pricing seen in most salons. this ensures that our team is making a living wage and is also able to eliminate the need to depend on tips. we are also a gratuity free salon!
Goldenrod Parlor parntners with terracycle to recycle our waste through their salon cycle program. It was a non-negotiable to open a salon and not do our best to be as sustainable as possible. Being “sustainable” can’t be perfect in the beauty industry, but by joining forces with terracycle and a local sustainable lifestyle store, Life Unplastic, we can decrease our waste impact by 95%.
We are also a Dresscode Project and strands for trans registered Safer Space salon. You won’t find gendered pricing on our menu. We believe stylists should charge based on their time spent behind the chair, not gender. Every person deserves to have a comfortable and positive hair experience. we aim to provide that here. All people and textures are welcome at Goldenrod.
